Book club

My next book on my summer reading list was, Lean In by Sheryl Sandberg the Chief Operating officer of Facebook. At first when I starting reading this book I thought to my self this might be a little to I am women hear me roar, but the more I kept reading the more and more I felt that this book is telling the story of my life as a working mom. I really encourage all the mamas and soon to be mamas to read this book if you plan on being a working mom! This book was a serious eye opener for me and I really enjoyed the read!

BK!

I have been in New York for over a week now, and I am seriously having the best time! One of the things my husband has always wanted to do is walk the Brooklyn bridge! I wasn't really that into it, but I put on my big girl panties and agreed to do it! So we got up early went into the city and did the Damn thing! Boy am I glad I did it! It was absolutely beautiful! It's the best view of the NYC skyline.The weather was gorgeous and there are so many cool things happening on the bridge. I am also so happy that Isabella had a chance to experience that, not many 5 year old can say that walked the Brooklyn Bridge lol. The best part of walking the bridge you end up in Brooklyn! We found a Nice little park sat down and relaxed and also ran into my brother, kinda crazy! We had such a great family day in the city. We had wonderful street food and took in the sights of the best city in the world!

Kindergarten pics!

This post comes a little late,but hey better late than never! Bella graduated kindergarten in May and boy am I so proud of her! I wanted to do kindergarten pics and there are so many cute ideas! I think I pinned like million. I had two ideas that were my absolute favorite. The first picture idea was writing kindergarten in chalk on the drive way with her laying next to it! At first I didn't think the chalk would photograph well, but I was so wrong it came out Amazing! The second idea is to make a banner of the year she will graduate high school and have her hold it. I framed it in a frame that I painted with chalk board paint and wrote in chalk class of....these pictures were so much fun to do, can't wait for 1st grade! Already have ideas going through this head of mine!!!

Brush Bar!

This past weekend my mama and I went to the Brush Bar! What's the Brush Bar? It's a painting class where you paint on a canvas, and the best part there is a full BAR!!! Painting plus drinking cocktails and good music in the background equals a perfect girls night out! I will defiantly be back! Plus are peacocks came out Amazing!

The Big Two-Nine!

Yesterday was the 29th birthday of yours truly! I thought I would be a little cranky because I mean c'mon I'm almost thirty. It was the complete opposite!! I really had such a great day! I spent it with the ones I love most, minus a few of my N.Y. Family:) My husband made it a special day and my Izzy was such a doll (thanks for the hand message Bella) So here is too making 29 amazing! Cheers!!

You are my sunshine!

So I haven't had time to do a craft for my house in like forever! So This morning I was ready! I saw this craft and I absolutely fell in Love with it! The reason why is because It was a keepsake craft and the means it involved my Bella. Everybody knows that's song You are my sunshine. Well that song is very special to my family and we have been singing it to Bella since she was in my tummy! Hope you like it! Happy Saturday!

Teacher appreciation

This week is teacher appreciation week!!!!! Thats right you better appreciate our teacher's, they work very hard and we all know don't get paid what they are worth! I had a lot of fun this year doing crafty things for Bella's teacher! Ms. Robles Who is wonderful! It's the little things that make teacher's feel special! The gifts we made are all very affordable and very personable! I also would like to give a shout out to my husband. Who is the best teacher ( I know I'm a little bias) he truly cares about his students and there well being! Enjoy the rest of your week teachers!! You deserve it!!!

Book club

Just One Day! By Gayle Forman! What an eye opening book. It's about an average American girl who grows up in a small suburb. She goes off to Europe for the summer which was a graduation gift from her very wealthy parents. While on the trip she encounters a young gentleman who will change the person she is forever! Words to describe this book self discovery, fate, journey, risk. It's my new favorite book. The best part of the story it continues!! The bad part I have to wait a year. Happy reading!

Work-it-out!

Who likes to Work out? Ummmn not me! I really need motivation, but once I have it I really am determined to stick with it. I found all these fun " Challenge" workouts on of course Pinterest. it keeps it fun for me  which I need because I get bored very easily with workouts. The first one I am going to do is the 30 day squat challenge! Today is day numero uno! 50! Wish me Luck!

Frame

I really have been wanting to make some sort of picture frame for all the random pictures I have laying around the house. Today I was off to the antique store by my house that has all sorts of cool frames. I got the frame,some wire, screws and clothes pins and I was good to go. The screws go on the back of the frame on each side attach the wire to each side ( so easy) and your done. Clip the pictures with the clothes pins and you have a really cute frame! The frame was $15 the screws,wire and clothes pins were $5 all together Pretty cheap!

Today I took the day off. Yes, I did! I needed what you call a "Mental Health Day" :) It feels so good to get the stuff done that needed to get done. I got to pick my Izzy


 up and take her on a Starbucks date and do a little shopping, because If  I didn't I would have gone cray!

Gifts for the BRIDE!

The past couple of months I have been on the hunt for the most perfect, cutest, unique, bride gifts to get for my most favorite cousin who is tying the knot in less than 70 days!!!!!! Of course my search started on Etsy, duh! First I found a wedding tote from Rachel Walter via Etsy. The tote is personalized with your wedding date and the bride and grooms name in a type writer style font, so different from the normal" Bride" tote bags and you can use this tote after the big day! It was super affordable it was $16.00+ plus  shipping! Needless to say The Bride loved it! I would totally recommened checking

I HEART N.Y.

Last week Bella an I went back to New York for my cousin Kaitlyn's Bridal Shower. We were only there for four days, but we had a jam packed schedule! We had hair trial appointments, bridal shower errands, shopping, and the Best part Quality family time. Bella and I finally had a chance to meet our baby cousin Mikey who is the most adorable little boy in the world(obsessed) We had an Amazing dinner that Kait and Pat cooked for us, N.Y. pizza twice:) and yummy Mexican food! The Bridal shower was so Beautiful and the bride to be looked gorgeous! This was seriously my most favorite trip back!!! I am so lucky to have such a great Family!!!
